Accreditation

The accreditation body

The DGA GmbH is an accreditation body according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17011.

The basic regulations concerning the activity of the DGA GmbH as an accreditation body take into account the requirements of the valid standard EN 45010 and its additionally applicable documents. These are for example documents of the “International Accreditation Forum” (IAF) and the “European Co-operation for Accreditation” (EA) concerning the regulations as well as the respective multilateral agreements (MLA).

The DGA GmbH accredits certification bodies according to or in relation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17021, ISO/IEC Guide 66, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024. Certification bodies may be accredited if they certify e.g. organizations according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, DIN EN 14001, SCC or other normative documents concerning a management system or if they certify persons according to qualification criteria defined in standards or normative documents.

The DGA GmbH itself does not conduct any audits or certifications.

Duties

Amongst the duties of the DGA GmbH are:

  • The accreditation and surveillance of certification bodies,
  • the appointment of assessors for the assessment of certification bodies,
  • participation in the exchange of experience between national and international accreditation bodies,
  • the organization of exchange of experience meetings between assessors and accredited certification bodies.
